Reading Vancouver is over-the-top thrilled to announce that Dorothy-June Fraser is our new Editor.

Born, raised in the metropolitan suburb of Vancouver, the 23-yr old divides her time between writing, painting and teaching ESL, English and tutoring kids. She likes parties, but not with ice cream cake. Besides her complete intolerance for Chuck Palahniuk and "Thomas Pynchon", she loves fiction and says she can write it, too.

She likes staying in bed all day, but somehow manages to get up, mostly in the pursuit of caffeine. If she believed in celebrity, her choices would include Bob Dylan, Anais Nin, Sylvia Plath, Jorge Borges, Gertrude Stein, Kim Gordon/Sonic Youth, Tom Waits, to name the few and to forget others. She lives in a fantasy land where the streets she walks are cobblestone and not pavement, beer is sold at ten am at every corner store- basically Paris.

When she actually IS there, she lives at a bookstore and bathes in fountains.

She has been involved in several publications, including the Ten Dollar Words publiishing house,(now defunct) SUNDAY mag and was the editor of the sex column of Birdy magazine. Other stuff, too. Yeah, other stuff. She's hip.
